When Jesus Takes A Walk

Would you like to step away from everything to spend some time with Jesus?

What if you had the opportunity to take a walk with Him?

If you follow Jesus, you will discover that it is no ordinary walk. When Jesus takes a walk, He likes to glide on top of powerful waves, in the midst of mighty storms. A storm is no trouble for the Creator of the Universe. He commands the winds of all storms and the waves of every ocean.

During the fourth watch of the night, sometime between three and six in the morning, Jesus came walking on the water to be with His disciples who were in a boat caught in a storm on the Sea of Galilee. When they saw Him they thought He was a ghost. Jesus said, “Take courage, it is I; do not be afraid” (Matthew 14:27).

When you look at the Greek translation of Jesus’ words, you realize that He was revealing His character to them through His name. Those words for it is I are ego eimi, the same Greek words used in the Septuagint (the Greek Translation of the Old Testament) for I AM revealed to Moses in Exodus 3:14 — the name for Yahweh. When Jesus took a stroll on top of the waves of the Sea of Galilee in the fourth watch, He walked as Yahweh, the One who is everything we need for every circumstance of life.

Oh I love thinking about these great truths. In fact, this very walk of Jesus on the water is an integral part of my new A Quiet Time Experience book, Walk on Water Faith — Discovering Power In The Promises Of God, scheduled for official Quiet Time Ministries Press release with enhanced multimedia in October, 2014. The Walk On Water Faith — Series Preview is already posted at The Quiet Time Live Channel on YouTube. I invite you to take the journey of this powerful study on faith. More announcements and information to come soon!

So dear friend, today, what do you need? Take a walk with Jesus, the great I AM, who is everything you need. He is your helper and you do not need to worry or be afraid. Grab hold of the great promise in Hebrews 13:5-6 and make it your own —

He Himself has said, “I will never desert you, nor will I ever forsake you,” so that we confidently say, “The Lord is my helper, I will not be afraid. What will man do to me?
Hebrews 13:5-6

All the Lord’s promises are there for you. When you take a walk with Jesus, He will speak with you in His Word. Hold all that He says close to your heart. And know, dear friend, that He is King of Kings and Lord of Lords, the great I AM, and everything you need for every circumstance of life.

God bless you dear friend, as you continue on in the great adventure of knowing Him.

♥ Blessings and Grace to You!
