The Mittens @ Monument Valley Utah
Just for fun!
It’s pitch black dark. Before any hint of sunrise. October weather now in Monument Valley, Utah. Imagine cold – really cold, brrrr – blasting wind and sand in your face, bracing yourself, and your precious camera, against the impending dawn of day on the edge of a massive canyon rim facing the famous Mittens Buttes with an eclectic group of experienced photographers on Bill Fortney’s His Light Workshops — Grand Circle — Red Rock Adventure through the Slots at Antelope Canyon, Page, Arizona, Zion and Bryce National Parks, Utah, and the incredible monoliths of Monument Valley, Utah. Waiting for the glow! Yeah, baby. It doesn’t get any better than this!
♥ God bless you in the great adventure of knowing Him!
The Grand Circle is a beautiful, expansive region located in the Southwestern United States. Encompassing portions of five states — Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, Utah, and Nevada — the Grand Circle contains America’s largest concentration of national parks and monuments, linked together by nationally designated Scenic Byways. Some of America’s most extraordinary scenery can be found within the Grand Circle — Grand Canyon National Park, Zion National Park, Bryce Canyon National Park, Lake Powell, Arches National Park, Monument Valley, Utah, and Antelope Canyon, Arizona.
Video captured on the fly by my “Second Body” (that would be my husband) using a Canon Power Shot S95 @ 720p/24fps with only 10 megapixels – okay, so it isn’t Red Cinema 5K resolution, but the upscale to 1080p Cineform codec with unsharp mask in Sony Vegas Pro gets us in the ballpark.
