Grand Circle — Red Rock Adventure

I am embarking on the adventure of a lifetime.

Sometimes God opens the most amazing doors when you least expect it. I am joining a group of very talented and experienced photographers led by Nikon legend Bill Fortney, founder of His Light Workshops, for the photographic adventure of a lifetime through Bryce Canyon National Park, Zion National Park, the Slots at Antelope Canyon, Arizona, and monolithic Monument Valley, Utah. I can hardly believe this opportunity has come my way through the generous foresight of a special friend and Quiet Time Ministries donor, but God always does more than you can ask or imagine (see Ephesians 3:20). I’m so excited to learn from the pros, shoot some of God’s most beautiful landscapes, and behold the Lord’s beauty in these places I’ve only dreamed of visiting much less photographing.

So get ready my friends. I plan to post photos of my adventure all along the way on myPhotoWalk — Google+ Community. If you want to join me on myPhotoWalk — Red Rock Adventure, you can come over to this exclusive Google+ Community page and hear about what I’m learning and see some of my photos. This is really going to be something special — Bill Fortney is truly considered to be a legend by most photographers — this is well known. But something you may not know is that Bill Fortney is very good friends with beloved author, pastor, and speaker, Dr. Charles Stanley, who is an inspirational and accomplished photographer in his own right.

I have loved photography since I was a little girl, but I have grown to love it so much more since I got my Nikon D7000 two years ago. So let’s get started!

The Grand Circle is a beautiful, expansive region located in the Southwestern United States. Encompassing portions of five states — Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, Utah, and Nevada — the Grand Circle contains America’s largest concentration of national parks and monuments, linked together by nationally designated Scenic Byways. Some of America’s most extraordinary scenery can be found within the Grand Circle — Grand Canyon National Park, Zion National Park, Bryce Canyon National Park, Lake Powell, Arches National Park, Monument Valley, Utah, and Antelope Canyon, Arizona.

Bill Fortney, a world renowned professional photographer and Nikon legend, founded His Light Ministries upon John 8:12 (NKJV), “Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, ‘I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.'” He conducts His Light Workshops in spectacular photography locations such as Monument Valley, Utah, Glacier National Park, Montana, and The Great Oregon Coast.
