God Is Faithful

God is faithful.

There is such promise in those words.

Today I believe there is someone reading these words who needs this strong assurance.

Perhaps the winds of adversity have blown hard in your life and your heart is tired and weary.

Paul wrote this promise to a church that was struggling with adversity, challenges, and sin. Read through these words and think about their meaning for your own life —

God is faithful, through whom you were called into fellowship with His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.
1 Corinthians 1:9 NASB

The Amplified version of 1 Corinthians 1:9 delves even deeper into the meaning of God’s faithfulness.

God is faithful (reliable, trustworthy, and therefore ever true to His promise, and He can be depended on); by Him you were called into companionship and participation with His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.
1 Corinthians 1:9 AMP

In the heat of any trial, you need to know you can count on someone and rely on what they say. God is that One for you. Open the pages of His Word, find as many of His promises as you can, and then hold them close to your heart throughout the day.

Then, I encourage you to take time and look at the magnificent creation of God. My husband and I were driving west out of Santa Fe, New Mexico, on a Sponsored myPhotoWalk PhotoShoot to capture photography images for an upcoming release of myPhotoWalk — Quiet Time Moments, an entirely updated and revised devotional photography edition of the perennial favorite, Quiet Time Moments For Women. God’s scenery overwhelmed us and we stopped to drink it all in. As I stood roadside and looked out over this landscape in northern New Mexico, I thanked God for His power and glory and stood in awe of His majesty.

God is faithful. Therefore He is reliable, trustworthy, always true to His promises, and can be depended on no matter how impossible the trial.

And out of God’s faithfulness comes the great invitation to a life-changing relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. We learn in this verse that we are “called into companionship and participation with His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord” (1 Corinthians 3:9 AMP). Do you see the beauty of this promise? It means that you are never alone and your life is filled with purpose because of your relationship with the Lord.

So today, dear friend, revel in the promise that God is faithful. Look at all the beautiful facets of this aspect of God’s character and you will find a new and deeper trust in Him.

♥ Blessings and Grace to You!
