The Eye Of Faith

Do you have the eye of faith?

When you see with faith, you have real vision and true sight.

You can see beyond the here and now all the way to forever.

When you see with the eye of faith, you are like Abraham, who saw the promise, and welcomed it from a distance (Hebrews 11:13). The Bible says this about those who see with faith —

Those who say such things make it clear that they are seeking a country of their own. And indeed if they had been thinking of that country from which they went out, they would have had opportunity to return. But as it is, they desire a better country, that is, a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God; for He has prepared a city for them.
Hebrews 11:14-16

Spurgeon says, “By faith, we see as “in a mirror dimly” (1 Cor. 13:12) the reflected image of His boundless treasures. But when we actually see the heavenly things with our own eyes, how deep will be the stream of fellowship where our souls will bathe. Until then, our loudest sonnets will be reserved for our loving benefactor, Jesus Christ our Lord.”

Today, dear friend, will you open God’s Word and see with the eye of faith, from a distance, God’s boundless treasures? When you do, you will truly see as you have never seen before. And someday you will see “face to face” the wonders of the kingdom of heaven and the Lord Jesus Christ. Until that day, we walk and live by faith.
