2 Corinthians 4:18

So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever.
2 Corinthians 4:18 NLT
Those with the deepest despairs can know the greatest hopes. When we say hope, we are not talking about a querulous wishing that may or may not come true. Biblical hope is based on the steadfast promise of God and the trustworthiness of His character. It is a firm assurance of what is true. The hope that God wants to give you is based on the promises in His Word and will serve as the anchor of your soul. Every time God gives you a promise in the Word, there is one more tether of your soul to the firm foundation of the eternal, and it expands the ground of your hope. It is God’s Word that allows you to smile even when your life is falling apart. There is so much you can know is true because of what God says. And what God says will give you a great hope.
