Isaiah 42:3

A bruised reed He will not break and a dimly burning wick He will not extinguish; He will faithfully bring forth justice.
Isaiah 42:3
When you rest on the promises of God in His Word, your heart and soul will know something completely different from what your feelings are saying to you—truth rather than lies, facts rather than fiction, objective reality rather than imagined fantasy. You may be weeping. You may be grieving. You will probably not be merrily skipping through a field of flowers in your life, oblivious to the pain and sorrow you are experiencing. However, like Jeremiah, whose face was often wet with tears, you will still be able to say, “The Lord is my portion, says my soul, therefore I have hope in Him” (Lamentations 3:24).
