Exploring Passionate Prayer
Catherine Martin National Radio Interview
90.1 WMBI FM Chicago IL — Moody Broadcasting Network — Prime Time America
Prime Time America is a two-hour national drive-time program that encourages listeners to develop a heart and mind for God, while keeping them informed through an evangelical Christian worldview. With guest interviews, features, news, commentaries, occasional call-in sections and music, Prime Time America consistently helps listeners grow spiritually, intellectually, and emotionally. Moody Radio was recognized in 2009 at the National Religious Broadcasters (NRB) conference in Nashville, Tenn. for NRB Large Market Station of the Year.
Greg Wheatley has been the host of Prime Time America since 1999. Prior to that he was co-host of Mornings with Greg and Chris in Chicago, which aired locally on WMBI. In addition to Prime Time America, Greg is also heard on Sound of Majesty, Moody’s hour-long program of hymns and sacred classics.
While he has spent most of his career in Christian broadcasting, Greg’s educational background is in music. He received his undergraduate education in music at Spring Arbor College (Michigan), and his master’s degree in music theory from Michigan State University. One of Greg’s passions is teaching music, and he currently serves on the adjunct faculty of the Wheaton College Conservatory. Additionally, he directs the Glen Ellyn-Wheaton Chorale, a community chorus based in the western suburbs of Chicago. At his home church, Greg directs the College Church Singers.
Greg interviews Catherine about what makes prayer passionate? This was a national broadcast – coast to coast – a real treat, and a special opportunity, for Catherine and Quiet Time Ministries.
What are the Psalms of Ascent, and how will they help make us passionate in our prayers to the Lord?
