Awe

Awe is what I feel when I see a magnificent sunset. I watch God paint the sky, moment by moment, as the sun slips behind the mountains. He is the Master Artist. So many thoughts go through my mind when I experience an awesome moment like this sunset. I couldn’t help but think that if He can create such a magnificent masterpiece like a sunset, then He can be trusted to care for us even in our deepest need. It’s simple really. When we are overwhelmed with trouble, we need a new vision of God with a corresponding sense of awe. It’s something that gives us that knowledge in our heart that “Yes, God is enough for whatever I face today.”

David discovered the same thing when he said:

Those who know your name trust in you, but you, LORD, have never forsaken those who seek you.
Psalm 9:10

In the year that King Uzziah died, Isaiah “saw the Lord, high and exalted, seated on a throne; and the train of his robe filled the temple” (Isaiah 6:1). Isaiah’s vision led to a new view of God and of himself. Isaiah was greatly humbled and also received God’s call to serve. Awesome moments may lead to a new direction in life.

Today, maybe you need a new vision of God with a corresponding sense of awe. If so, why not step away from everything for an hour and get alone with God. He invites you to it even now.

“Be still, and know that I am God” (Psalm 46:10 NIV).

Get ready for a soul-shaking view of God and a corresponding sense of heart-reviving awe.

♥ Blessings and Grace to You!
