Pilgrimage OLS — Week Six #2

So how are you doing as you travel along on this journey of life? Have you discovered the great truth that you are a pilgrim on a pilgrimage of the heart? Your journey is with the Lord. He is the One you travel with and someday you will see the Lord face to face when you step from time and the temporal into heaven and the eternal. And so, as you go, you have the great privilege of talking every day and even every moment with the Lord who is the One who loves you. Not only can you pray, you must pray. Prayer will grow your intimate relationship with God and accomplishes much in the kingdom of God. As Oswald Chambers said, “Prayer does not fit us for the greater works; prayer is the greater work.” Oh, I love those words today. I have been learning in recent days the great privilege and power of prayer.

God hears and responds to our prayers.

For the eyes of the LORD move to and fro throughout the earth that He may strongly support those whose heart is completely His.
2 Chronicles 16:9

Oh friends, do we realize that God is looking even now. Oh may His eyes rest on us and may He strongly support us as we intercede on behalf of men and nations. I think about the two women in their eighties who prayed passionately and powerfully on behalf of those on the island of Lewis and beyond. How did God respond? The fires of revival through the power of the Holy Spirit swept throughout all the Hebridean islands off the coast of Scotland. And the impact of that revival is still felt today though it happen more than sixty years ago.

In Week 6, Days 4-7 of Pilgrimage of the Heart, we continued our study of The Prayer of the Pilgrim in Psalm 107. And we learned again how God hears our prayers, He saves, and He delivers. One thing is certain, God expects us to pray. And prayer does indeed move the Hand that moves the world. So let us all pray BIG, and watch to see what our great God is going to accomplish in His power through the Holy Spirit.

Your assignment this next week in Pilgrimage of the Heart is Week 7, Days 1-3, The Faith of the Pilgrim.

♥ God bless you as you continue this great adventure of knowing Him!

Luke 5:16 NASB — But Jesus Himself would often slip away to the wilderness and pray.
Amazing! Personal and touching! You will grow through this! Amazing because you will journey into new areas with the Lord that are going to help build your foundation in Him. This book is for anyone that wants to walk closer to God, no matter how close you already are. I would buy this for every woman I know if I could.
