The Blessed Hope

What are you hoping for in your life today?

Paul encouraged Titus that there is something we are waiting for that will be amazing and incredible.

Paul said we are looking for:

… the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus.
Titus 2:13 NASB

The appearing of Jesus is a hope that transcends all other hopes. For Jesus Himself will usher in the fulfillment of every hope as we will then experience all things made new, a new heaven and a new earth, and the experience of having every tear wiped from our eyes by the Lord. Oh what a day when He appears. The blessed hope is expressed in Revelation 1:7 this way: “Look! He is coming with the clouds and every eye will see Him.”

The other evening I saw the most amazing cloud formation and grabbed my camera. I thought about the blessed hope and those words in Revelation that He is coming with the clouds. When things become overwhelming, it’s a good idea to shift your vision and look away from your circumstances and fix your eyes on Jesus. Look up. And if you see clouds in the sky, remember that He is coming with the clouds and every eye will see Him. Remember the big day and the blessed hope still to come that no sorrow today can discourage or dispel.

So dear friend, look away from troubles and look up to Jesus. You will find your heart encouraged and you will have a new and blessed hope. You will have the ability to hold on with patient expectation.

♥ Blessings and Grace to You!
