The Treasures Of Darkness

Are you in a darkness just now?

If so, then be encouraged. God has a special promise for you today, and for any who have had the colors in the landscape of life dulled with the shadow of a darkness.

He says,

I will give you the treasures of darkness, riches stored in secret places, so that you may know that I am the LORD, the God of Israel, who summons you by name.
Isaiah 45:3

Oh what hope He gives us here. There are treasures reserved for those in a darkness. You can wait with expectation, knowing He is present with you even now. And He is pouring out blessings in this secret place you are experiencing right now. One of the great blessings for you is an experience of “knowing” the Lord in a way He has reserved for you in the darkness. Sometimes you see the best when the sky is darker. Light surely shines brightly in the darkness.

I was driving from California to Arizona at about 5:00a.m. on a recent morning to be with my father who is very ill. And my heart was heavy with concern. As the sun rose, God painted the sky with color in the clouds – oh, what a treasure in the darkness for me that morning.

I love the last part of that verse in Isaiah – the God of Israel “who summons you by name.” In the middle of every darkness is an invitation from your God, who knows you by name, to draw near to His heart. So today, dear friend, draw near, and look for God’s treasure and His riches.

♥ Blessings and Grace to You!
