A Promise For Today
How is your ability to believe God and walk by faith in Him these days?
I have been thinking about how our faith needs to be irrevocably attached to the Word of God, and most importantly, to His promises. So I wanted to give you a wonderful and life-changing promise. Today is the day to find immense comfort and strength in the fact that your Father in heaven loves you. He has these encouraging promises for you:
When Jesus told the parable of the prodigal son, He shared a piece of valuable information revealing the depth of the love of the Father for His children, even for prodigals who have lost their way: “While he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him” (Luke 15:20).
I love this photo of the wildlife refuge near Parker Dam in Arizona – it shows great distances to far mountains, a river running through it, and near mountain peaks. No matter where you are or what the terrain is that you are experiencing right now, the Lord is with you and He loves you with an everlasting love.
And when God is for you, who can be against you? So run to Him and rest in His love today. That’s your promise for today. Do you believe it? Always remember what Jesus said to the father whose son was tormented by an evil spirit. After giving Jesus the history of his son, the father said, “But if you can do anything, take pity on us and help us.” “If you can?” said Jesus, “Everything is possible for him who believes.” We need to respond the way that father responded to Jesus, “I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!”
Let’s all believe the promise for today. God loves us with an everlasting love. He does not want us to be afraid. He is with us and we are precious to Him.
