He Is Risen

Happy Easter, my friends!

Today we celebrate the fact that when those women walked to the tomb to give Jesus a proper burial, the tomb was empty. Not only that, Jesus appeared not only to Mary but to the disciples and many others. Jesus Christ is alive. And because He lives, we have the hope of eternal life – face to face forever with our Lord. What a blessed hope we have.

Every day on Easter when we were younger, my mother would shout out so that we could hear it through the whole house, “He is risen.”

And we would respond, “He is risen indeed.”

What’s the secret in this process of growth? Abiding in Christ. We need to stay close to Him, walk with Him, live in Him, and commune with Him. He has said, “Apart from Me you can do nothing” (John 15:5).

So today, remember growth is a process, and the Lord is in charge of the harvest. May you continue to “grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ” (2 Peter 3:18).

Jesus is the resurrection and the life. Rejoice in Him. If you are feeling a bit hopeless today, then hear the words of the psalmist: “Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God” (Psalm 42:11). Oh yes, He is Savior. He is risen. He is risen indeed.

♥ Blessings and Grace to You!
