An Extraordinary Opportunity

This time next week I am going to be on the adventure of a lifetime.

Through the prayerful support of a beloved donor, God has given me an extraordinary opportunity.

And that’s what God often does. He opens an unexpected door to something that will invite you to a whole new world.

Next week I will be in Glacier National Park, Montana, shooting photography with Nikon legend Bill Fortney and his team from His Light Workshops. And I will have the opportunity to meet and shoot photography with one of my heroes of the faith, Dr. Charles Stanley. Not only is Dr. Stanley a beloved pastor and author, but he is also an accomplished photographer. So I am very excited to be off on this photographic journey with some of the best photographers in the world. I’ll have my Nikon D7000, my tripod, along with favorite lenses including my 12-24mm wide-angle and my 70-300mm telephoto, and good hiking boots and a warm jacket. I’m already packed and ready to go. Please pray for me as I take this journey with the Lord and these amazing men and women next week.

Sometimes, in the midst of difficulties and trials, God takes you around a bend in the road, and on to some adventure you had not imagined.

He does promise in Ephesians 3:20 to do “immeasurably more than all we can ask or imagine according to the power that is at work in us.” This will indeed be an adventure. We will be up before the sun rises and out until after it goes down, catching the best light during those golden hours where God paints the sky in majestic colors. I can’t wait to share some of the glimpses of His glory that we will see in great beauty and grandeur.

I had the great opportunity to be on The Grand Circle — Red Rock Adventure with Bill Fortney’s His Light Workshops in November, 2012, and it was a blast. Perhaps this will be the beginning of a new ministry for Quiet Time Ministries. myPhotoWalk — I like the ring of that. Who knows except God? Stay tuned!

So dear friend, I invite you to join me on this adventure as I share some of the photos all along the way on various social media. And I also encourage you to keep your eyes open for your own next adventure with the Lord as He continues to lead you on this pilgrimage of the heart.

♥ God bless you in the great adventure of knowing Him!
