Amazing Promises

Have you discovered the amazing promises of God?

I invite you to open the pages of God’s Word and grab a promise today and walk through your day thinking about it for your life. Ask God to remind you of its truth as you carry out your responsibilities and run the race set before you. I found some amazing promises in Psalm 73:21-24 that totally blessed me and I found great strength and comfort in them. Asaph, the writer of this psalm, has been struggling. He has his eyes on the temporal world and he is giving in to discouragement and despair. And then, he decided to step away and draw near to God. He wrote,

When I pondered to understand this, it was troublesome in my sight until I came into the sanctuary of God; then I perceived their end.
Asaph, Psalm 73:16-17

When we come to the sanctuary of God we will find promises to encourage us, to help us, to comfort us and to strengthen us.

Asaph continues:

When my heart was embittered and I was pierced within, then I was senseless and ignorant; I was like a beast before You. Nevertheless, I am continually with You; You have taken hold of my right hand. With Your counsel You will guide me, and afterward receive me to glory.
Asaph, Psalm 73:21-24

Oh those promises have been such an encouragement to me. I love the word Nevertheless. It’s a word of grace. Though at times I may fail, nevertheless, I am continually with the Lord and He has taken hold of my right hand. I have been just swimming in those promises. Throughout the day I talk with the Lord saying, “Thank You Lord that You are here. You are always with me. You are holding my hand even now.” Just think, the Lord never lets you go, no matter what!! It’s all grace, completely dependent on Your Lord. He loves you and He is holding on to you even in the difficult days when you wonder how you can make it. Even when you doubt. Even when you’re discouraged. And He holds your hand through the victories. Through moments of triumph. You are never without Your Lord. He is with you even now.

I had just arrived at St. Mary’s Lodge at Glacier National Park, Montana, for an exciting photoshoot experience with a group of professional photographers led by Nikon legend, Bill Fortney, and attended by author and pastor, Dr. Charles Stanley, an avid photographer himself. I walked out on the little balcony outside my room. And this is the view I saw. Amazing and magnificent. A beautiful sunset. Of course, I grabbed my camera and took many photos. This beautiful view was for me like a promise of many more amazing views to photograph. A promise is something you hold on to that carries you from one moment to another. God’s promises are true and provide a firm foundation for all of life.

So today, open God’s Word, grab a promise, and carry it close to your heart throughout the day.

♥ Blessings and Grace to You!
