Pilgrimage OLS — Week Seven #2
Faith is a walk. It takes time.
And, according to Paul, we go from faith to faith (Romans 1:17).
How are you doing in your walk of faith? I think of a recent visit to the beach. I watched as this tiny bird maneuvered the waves, rocks, and other terrain on the sand by the ocean. It reminded me that we will have obstacles along the way and sometimes our view is obscured by the fog of this world. So we must learn to rely on the Lord our God to guide us every step of the way. He has given us His Word so we can know the way to go and how to live as we walk by faith, not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7). There are always two ways to live in every situation – by faith or by sight.
This week we studied Days 4-7 of The Faith of the Pilgrim in Pilgrimage of the Heart in Psalm 73. We saw that the “Bible is filled with ordinary people whose lives became the platform to display a magnificent, majestic, awesome, extraordinary God. While they made great mistakes and failed at times, God dwelt in their midst and imparted a supernatural life to them. He gave them the promise of eternal life, and they endured the suffering of the present with the hope of an unseen future.” I love those words today. I think we always need to remember that as we walk by faith, our awesome God brings His extraordinary into our ordinary.
I love what Dr. Bill Bright has written:
How well do you know your God and how is your view of God influencing your walk of faith?
Your assignment this next week in Pilgrimage of the Heart is Week 8, Days 1-7, The Home of the Pilgrim. You will be studying Psalm 27, one of my favorite psalms.
♥ God bless you as you continue this great adventure of knowing Him!
What is God teaching you as you have been living in Psalm 73 in Week 7, Days 4-7 of Pilgrimage of the Heart?
