Shadows are important.

Shadows are reflections of the true.

In the Bible we learn that:

He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.
Psalm 91:1

Sometimes our life is filled with the darkness of a trial. But in this great and wonderful verse, we learn the truth that as we live in the Lord, no matter how dark life may be, we can consider that in reality we are in the shadow of the Almighty God. Behind the shadow is our great God. Though a cloud may obscure the sun and we see only darkness with a few rays of light, the sun still is exists and shines brightly.

I loved this view from above the shadow with the light shining on the leaf. From above, we are more drawn to the leaf itself. The shadow enhances the beauty of the leaf. But if we were under the leaf and standing in the shadow, we would not see too much of the beauty and shape above. Always remember that your God is with you even in the times when you feel alone. He will never leave you or forsake you.

So today, if you are in a shadow, remember that God loves you, is with you, and will help you. God bless you dear friend as you continue on in this great adventure of knowing Him.
