A Heart On Fire OLS — Week Two #1

Imagine that you have an appointment today with Jesus Himself.

You sit with Him awhile. He asks you to pour out your heart to Him. And then, He speaks. The words He gives you are, without doubt, going to require a response from you. How will you respond? Will you draw closer to Him to know Him more? Will you receive and believe Him? Will you ask and seek Him. Oh friend, don’t wait. Respond. Then watch with great expectation to see what He will do.

No wonder David said,

In the morning, O LORD, You will hear my voice; in the morning I will order my prayer to You and eagerly watch.
Psalm 5:3

In Week 2, Day 1-3, of A Heart On Fire we looked at the priceless privilege of knowing Christ. And I believe that throughout this study we are going to see more and more why knowing Him is such an incredible privilege. You cannot put a price tag on it. We learned too, that Jesus is constantly inviting us to draw near and challenging us to grow deep in Him. You saw in your study that He was constantly calling for others to make decisions. One of His great invitations is the call to prayer.

Prayer is a great privilege that the Lord gives each one of us. May we all respond, draw near, and pour out our hearts in prayer to Him.

Please know that I am praying for all of us that the Lord will set our hearts on fire as we draw near to Him. It is a joy to study together with you.

Your assignment this week is the Week 2, Days 4-7 in A Heart On Fire.

♥ God bless you as you continue this great adventure of knowing Him!

Sola Scriptura

In our discussion today, I would love for all of us to share the answers to these questions: Why is knowing Christ a priceless privilege for you this week? And what did you learn about prayer that encourages you to pray? Finally, what was your favorite part of your study this week?

Please comment.
