Beyond this temporal world is the eternal.

Beyond the visible are the things which are not seen – those things that last forever.

Sometimes the present difficulty, the painful trial, is so in our face that we have momentary amnesia. Sometimes we forget what God says. We can even set aside His promise in favor of our fears and worries at times. We need to learn to look beyond and rest our faith there in God’s Word where truth and reality abide. Here’s how I do it – every day I look for one promise in God’s Word to help me look beyond and live by faith. I find that God’s promises help me live in hope and faith and trust with God rather than living in fear and worry completely focused on temporal circumstances.

Therefore, we do not lose heart, but though our outer man is decaying, yet our inner man is being renewed day by day. For momentary, light affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison, while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal.
2 Corinthians 4:16-18

So today, dear friend, look beyond. Open God’s Word. Live in His promises. And find a new hope and encouragement for whatever you face today.

♥ Blessings and Grace to You!
