Taking Flight

Do you need a big dose of encouragement today?

Maybe life is just getting you down, so to speak. More than anything, you would love to rise above your situation.

Here are some words of hope for hard times —

Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth does not become weary or tired. His understanding is inscrutable. He gives strength to the weary, and to him who lacks might He increases power. Though youths grow weary and tired, and vigorous young men stumble badly, yet those who wait for the LORD will gain new strength; They will mount up with wings like eagles, they will run and not get tired, they will walk and not become weary.
Isaiah 40:28-31

These are words for those times when things seem all too much — and for any who are on the verge of thinking there’s no answer or help for what you’re experiencing.

Maybe you can relate to the beginning of the verses because you almost feel as though you don’t know or haven’t heard. And even if we have known and heard we need to know it again and hear it once more. Our Everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the universe holds every answer and has every help we will ever need.

Let us then, turn away from human endeavors, earthly answers, and run to the Lord and ask Him for help. Then wait with eager anticipation. Even in the waiting, though you may not yet have your answer, you have begun to take flight. Soon, by faith, you are soaring above the circumstance, and you are making your way to higher ground.

The Lord has given you a new strength and you are running your race with endurance. You have found the ability to bear things not with passive resignation, but with blazing hope, knowing those things are leading to a great goal of glory.

So dear friend, run to God, and take flight with Him today!

♥ Blessings and Grace to You!
