He Is Risen Indeed

Oh yes, He is risen.

He is risen indeed!

And the resurrection of Jesus changes everything. It means we have a future and a hope. Forgiveness. Eternal life. And so much more.

There is a reason why the 1st century disciples changed from men who ran for their lives out of fear to men who were willing to give up their lives and die because of their faith in Christ. They were eyewitnesses to the risen Christ. And following His resurrection and ascension, they were empowered by the Holy Spirit to be witnesses for Him.

Just before Jesus ascended to heaven, He gave His disciples a great commission. These are words for us to remember on this Easter day.

… I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this; I am with you always, even to the end of the age.
Matthew 28:18-20

These are our marching orders. We are His disciples and we are on mission every day to follow Jesus and serve Him as He leads and guides us, moment by moment.

So today, dear friend, remember that He is risen, rejoice in His constant presence, and run the race that is set before you, carrying out His great commission.

♥ Blessings and Grace to You!
