Experiencing Grace

Grace.

We need it — and sometimes we need it desperately when the storm moves in from an unexpected place.

God is the God of all grace, and in His time, He pours out grace to ease weary souls. He promises.

I experienced grace this week in the writing of a new book all about faith. And what a journey of faith it’s been in the writing of it. God’s grace gave me the strength and faith I needed for the writing and I’m celebrating today in the completion of this book.

Walk On Water Faith is set for release from Quiet Time Ministries Press this Fall, 2014.

Where do you need grace today? Grace gives you what you need to face impossible tasks and painful suffering. When you think you can’t go on, then stop everything, and run into the arms of the God of all grace, and ask Him to help you in your trouble.

Peter surely knew the need for grace and received it often from His Lord. Listen to what he learned and wrote about grace —

After you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, will Himself perfect, confirm, strengthen and establish you.
1 Peter 5:10

I know suffering can seem like it goes on forever. What in the world does Peter mean by “a little while”? There is an eternal perspective in suffering, the by faith view, realizing that time is small compared to eternity. And God promises relief in the midst of suffering. Somehow and some way. Look for His grace in your present suffering. Wait for it and in His time, it will come. The beauty and the grace here is that there is always purpose and God is working something together that will count for you and for eternity.

Another great grace promise and one I experienced this week is this —

And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that always having all sufficiency in everything, you may have an abundance for every good deed.
2 Corinthians 9:8

God gave me everything I needed in my time of writing. And I want to encourage you that by His grace, He will give you what you need as well.

While strolling along the Corona del Mar beach on a myPhotoWalk writing break this week, I captured this image with my Nikon D7000. I love how this wave of water crashes against the rock and creates a beautiful pattern in the sky. The rocks just don’t stop the water. And that’s grace. Nothing can stop God from pouring out grace. And you can’t earn it, but you can receive it. Just when you least expect it, there it is.

So today, dear friend, look for His grace. Celebrate His grace.

♥ Blessings and Grace to You!
