Again, I was not able to attend SCC Women's Retreat. However, I am being so blessed by your "divine appointment" with these ladies from another church! I have been pondering a question my daughter, Sandy, put to me via email a week ago. You have met her at SCC golf. " Mom, here is your birthday question. What do you think the Lord has for you to accomplish for Him in thanks for your 80 years of blessings?" By looking at the faces of you and these women, I began to have another confirmation of what I am to do; in some way, "Tell The People"...tell the people I love them, tell the people I care." Some of this will be based on divine appointments I have had since we moved to the desert in 1997. Catherine, you still light my spiritual fire! Thank you, and I thank God for you! I have had dental surgery and a couple other physical situations, and have not been able to get to the last two classes for "Run Before the Wind". But at least I have the book. I do wish I were younger and had more energy, because I can tell I have hit the 80 year mark. I love especially how you said "it's the door into His mind and heart." Yes. The Lord is interested in every detail of our lives - our families, husbands, wives, children, jobs, ministry, everything. We just need to get alone with Him, be still, open the pages of His Word, and commune with Him. He will speak to us in His Word through the power of the Holy Spirit, sharing His thoughts and heart with us related to the details of our lives. I love Shannon Wexelberg's song, "Quiet Places." As a matter of fact, that whole album is amazing. I love her music. Sometimes I will turn on her album in iTunes, and listen to the music as I'm working on things. I am reminded that any time we open His word and just seek Him in it, He can speak to us about anything. It's the door into His mind and heart! Women are so often asking how to connect with their husbands; maybe we need to start by connecting with God and then He can show us the answers to all our other concerns.
